D5 ANIMALS
Dayna receives a message from her former tutor, Justin . Tarrant and Dayna go to Bucol2 to try and find him. As Dayna is teleporting down , Scorpio comes under attack. Tarrant is forced to return to Xenon leaving Dayna stranded. On the surface, Dayna is attacked by hideous animal. She manages to kill two before Justin rescues her. Justin, a geneticist, tells Dayna  that he has been experimenting on the animals. The purpose of the experiments is to develop intelligent animals capable of withstanding high levels of radiation. One of his animals, Og , has already developed enough to understand language. But Og has escaped  with some others and refuses to return. Meanwhile Sleer (Servalan) wonders what a planet hopper capable of doing Time Distort 12 is doing on Bucol2.  She seeks out Ardus, the only person who knows about the Bucol2 project. Sleers sees the possibilities to use the projects results in her climb to power. She decides to go to Bucol2 , after killing Ardus, who has recognized Sleer as Servalan.
          On the planet, Dayna agrees to help Justin recapture Og. But Og panics and pushes Dayna off a cliff. She is taken by Sleer's mutoids and under torture, reveals the capabilities of Og.
Through aversion therapy, Dayna is made to hate Justin and then released. When she returns to Justin base, she discovers that Justin has destroyed his work believing that the animals have killed Dayna, whom he loves. But due to the therapy, Dayna hates Justin and opens the base to admit Federation troops. They take Justin to Servalan and he reveals the location of Og.
          The Scorpio is now repaired and the crew returns to Bucol2 in order to rescue Dayna. They find the wrecked base and discover Sleer's ship. Within, Dayna is now being programmed to love Justin, but just as the therapy is ending, Justin is killed by Sleer. Og is caught amid the gunplay between the crew and the Federation and is killed. Sleer escapes and Dayna mourns
Justin's death.


D6 HEADHUNTER
Avon has been contacted by Muller, a brilliant cyberneticist who once studied under Ensor. Muller has developed a master android and offers the prototype to the rebels. Tarrant and Vila are dispatched to the planer Pharos to get Muller, but as they approach the planet, Muller radios that he is in trouble. Tarrant teleports down and finds a dead guard, Muller and a mysterious black box that disturbs Muller. When they teleport back to Scorpio with the box Muller becomes more agitated and a struggle ensues. Vila hits Muller over the head, he collapses and dies. Back on Pharos a technician finds a headless corpse in Muller's laboratory. Vila and Tarrant put Muller's body into a cryogenic chamber and hope to revive him back on Xenon. As they approach the base , Scorpio starts to experience instrument failure and even Slave is affected with aggressive behavior. When the life support fails, Avon hesitates rescue. Orac has ordered that the ship remain isolated and the teleport disconnected, but fails to give a good enough reason for this action. At the last moment, Avon teleports Tarrant and Vila to Xenon base. They tell Avon, Muller is dead.
          Already at the base is Vena, a physician and Muller's companion. She demands to see the body in order to try to revive it. She and Avon teleport onto the ship, but the body is gone. Muller appears on the base apparently alive. When he meets Vena he is acting strangely and kills her. By this time, the crew realizes that this is the android. It had killed Muller and taken his head in order to gain access to Xenon back. It's goal is to get Orac and with it gain control of all organic life in the universe. Overhearing this plan, Soolin hides Orac
          Opening the mysterious box that frightened the android, Vila discovers its real head. The head contains all the circuits needed to give the android a conscience and the crew control of the android. Using Orac as bait, the crew lures the android outside and unto a metal bridge. Avon plans to stunned the android with a high voltage currant, replace the head and obtain a new weapon to fight the Federation with. When Avon places the inhibitor head on the android, he is knocked out by a heavy discharge of electricity. Dayna, following Orac's advice, places charges on the bridge and blows up the android before it can reanimate, Avon is furious and Orac comments on Avon's arrogance.
