his lawyer is murdered and Blake is found guilty. He is sentenced to the
penal planet, Cygnus Alpha. Waiting to board the prision ship,London, Blake
meets Jenna Stannis, a smuggler and Vila Restal, a Delta thief. As the
ship departs Earth, Blake vows to return one day.
A2 Space Fall
While enroute to Cygnus Alpha, Blake organizes, with the help of some
fellow prisioners,a rebellion on the prision ship. One of the convicts,
Kerr Avon, is a computer genius, who brakes into the ships control room
and temporarily takes out the system, allowing Blake and the others to
escape from their quarters. Blake, Jenna and Avon barricade themselves
in the control room but give up when Subcommander Raiker, a ships officer
overpowers the other prisioners and starts to kill them.
At the same time, the London stumbles upon a space
battle between two alien fleets. One of the battleships drifts, unmanned
toward the London and Leylan, the London's captain, sends a few a his crew
over to investigate. Two men die and one goes insane. Raiker "volunteers"
Blake, Jenna and Avon to find out the cause. Once on the ship, they are
attacked by it's defenses, a mental onslaught aimed to disorientate and
kill intruders. Due, probably to the Federation manipulation of his
mind, Blake is able to resist. He destroys the defense mechanism, saving
Jenna and Avon. The trio manage to seal the outer hatches and escape with
the ship named by Jenna, the "Liberator".
A3 CYGNUS ALPHA
Blake, Avon and Jenna explore the vast alien ship. They establish contact
with the master computer ZEN,thus enabling them to fly the Liberator. They also
discover a teleport system and hand guns of immense power.
Meanwhile the London has unloaded its' cargo of prisioners on Cygnus
Alpha. The convicts are greeted by the priest and priestess who rule the planet.
Blakes takes the Liberator to Cygnus Alpha, to attempt a rescue. Using the teleport
Blake goes to the surface. Leaving Jenna and Avon on board, he asks to be recalled in four hours.
Blake finds the prisioners in holding cells all suffering from an illness which
affects everyone who"s on Cygnus Alpha more than an hour. He is told that there's no
cure apart from regular doses of a serum available only on the planet and controlled
by the High Priest, Vargas. Blake tries and fails to release the convicts and is
himself, captured. Vargas demands that Blake turn over the Liberator to him, so that he
can spread his religion throughout the galaxy.
Meanwhile, Jenna and Avon have discovered rooms fulls of clothes and hoards
of precious jewels and metals. Avon tries to convince Jenna that waiting for Blake is stupid.
They should run with the vast wealth on board and leave Blake to his fate. However, Jenna
decides to honor her word and gives Blake the full 4 hours before leaving. Almost
out of time, Blake calls for telepot and Jenna brings up Blake, Gan, Villa and Vargas.
After finding out that Vargas lied about the sickness, Blake teleports him into the vacuum of
space. Federation pursuit ships converge on the Liberator and Blake and his new crew begin
their escape.
