A12 DELIVERANCE

The crew see an explosion and crash of a space craft, as it nears the planet, Cephlon. Avon, Vila, Jenna and Gan teleport down to look foe survivors, even though they are aware that the high radioactivity on the surface will enable them to stay for only a short peroid of time. One of the two crew memebers is dead, the other is badly injured and is brought back to the Liberator. Jenna is captures and taken prisioner by a group of primitives.
Meanwhile, Servalan recieves a report of the crash and explains to Travis what lead up to the event. Ensor, a scientist living in isolation on Aristo, with his son, had developed a thing called "Orac". Ensor's heart was failing and his son travelled to Space Command in order to bargain for medical supplies. He made arraignments for Servalan to buy Orac for 100 million credits and a surgeon to be sent to Aristo to restore Ensor's health. Servalan double-crossed the son and planted a blomb on board his ship. Learning of the crash, Servalan and Travis start off for Artisto.
Back on Cephlon, while searching for Jenna, Vila and Gan discover the remnants of an ancient civilization neaded by a young priestess, Meegat. Avon speaks to her first and she thinks that he is a Lord sent by the gods to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Avon, and the others discover that Meegat is actually guarding an old rocket ship ready for lauching. The ship contains the genetic banks of Meegats race and will release them when a suitable planet is found. The knowledge of how to launch the rocket was lost in a nuclear war that destroyed the civilization and contaminated the planet.
When he gains enough strenght to go to the flight deck, young Ensor takes Cally hostage and demands to be taken to Aristo at once. Having no choice, Blake takes the Liberator out of Cephlon's orbit and heads for Aristo. But the young Ensor is too badly injured. He collaspes and dies, freeing Blake to return to Cephlon. Avon, Vila and Gan rescue Jenna and lauch the rocket that Meegat has been guarding. Blake is intrigued by the unknown "Orac" and decides to the the medical supplies to Ensor on Aristo.

A13 ORAC

Enroute to Aristo, Avon, Vila, Gan and Jenna begin to show signs of advanced radiation poisoning. The discover that there are no anti-radiation drugs on board, so they hope that Ensor will be able to provide them. Nearing Aristo, the Liberator computers are interferred with ans a teleport fix has been manipulatead from the planet. Travis and Servalan have arrived but are unable to penetrate the shielding surrounding Ensor's refuge. They decide to use a series of old tunnels left by a previous cicilization to gain entry. But these tunnels are now inhabited by an amphibian race called the Philbians. Servalan is attacked but is saved by Travis.
Blake and Cally talk Ensor into leaving Aristo for the medical facilities on the Liberator, but they also cannot teleport through the shielding. As they are leaving for the tunnels, Servalan and Travis break through a wall. Seeing Blake disappearing down the tunnel, they take an alterate route that brings them to the surface before Blake and Cally. In the tunnels, Ensor suffers a fatal heart attack but before he dies he give Blake Orac, the most sophisicated computer ever built.
On the surface Blake and Cally are ambushed by Travis and Servalan. Before they are killed they are rescued by Avon and Vila, whose only concern is that Blake has gotten the anti-radiation drugs.
&nsbp;Back on board the Liberator, the crew study Orac. It reveals itself to have the voice and personality of Ensor, snotty and arrogant. It requires very specific requests or it refuses to answer any questions. It also claims to be able to predict the future. Disbelieving, Blake orders Orac to make a prediction. On one of the Liberator's screens, Orac projectes an image. It is the Liberator and as the crew watches, the ship explodes!
