B5 PRESSURE POINT
The Liberator heads for the Solar System and the crew think that Blake
wants to observe the Federation's security system. Blake suddenly informs
them that he intends to take over Central Control, the computer control
center of the whole Federation. He believes that its' destruction will cause
the Federation to crumble. After much debate, the crew reluctantly agree
to help. Blake has already contacted ,Kasabi, a rebel leader on Earth ,
who is to aide Blake in his fight. But before Blake arrives, Kasabi and
her group are captured by Servalan and Travis. They force Kasabi to reveal
the location and the code signal for the rendezvous. They also force Kasabi's
daughter, Veron to help bait a trap for Blake.
Blake and Gan teleport
to the location, a crypt, and find Veron who explains that the group has
been caught. Blake decides to go ahead with the mission. Avon and Vila
appear but Veron betrays them, takes their bracelets and locks them in
the crypt. The crew escape and head for the Forbidden Zone, a heavily guarded
area surrounding Central Control.
The crew narrowly
avoid death in the minefields of the Forbidden Zone and manages to break
into the complex. Upon entering the control room , they find it empty!
A few seconds later, Travis and two mutoids enter. Travis explains that
Central Control had been moved to an unknown location THIRTY years before.
The Federation lets the public think that Control is still on Earth, in
order to root out rebels like Blake and Kasabi. Before Travis can kill
Blake and the others, Veron and Jenna enter with Servalan at gunpoint.
Jenna had teleported down with extra bracelets after the crew failed to
report in. Servalan orders Travis to release the crew and they flee.
The crew hesitate
to teleport from so far underground and begin to climb back up to the surface.
Travis lobs a grenade after them. There is an explosion, the roof collapses,
trapping Gan and he dies. Blake and the others escape and teleport back
to the Liberator, shaken by Gan's death.
B6 TRIAL
At Space Command Headquarters, Travis is being tried for the massacre
of 1417 unarmed civilians on Zircaster. Servalan has rigged the trial.
She wants him executed before he can reveal her inability as Supreme Commander
to capture Blake.
Guilt-stricken
by Gans death, Blake teleports to an uninhabited planet He tells the crew
to decide whether or not to follow him anymore and he makes sure that he
location is not discovered. The planet does contain life and Blake
meets Zil. She tries to explain the ecosystem to Blake. It is soon apparent
the the planet itself is alive and that Zil is considered a parasite. The
oceans begin to rise in order to cleanse the planet of its parasites. Zil
falls into a trench and is absorbed by the planet.
Before Blake can suffer a similar fate , he is rescued by the Liberator.
Meanwhile, at
Space Command, Travis has decided to speak in his own behalf. He ascerts
that his actions on Zircaster where the direct result of his Federation
training. The judges retire to consider this line of defense. Revitalized,
Blake decides to attack Space Command using Avon's new clocking device.
Just as Travis is found guilty, they attack. As the emergency hatches close,
Travis escapes. Slyly, Servalan allows Travis to steal a ship crewed by
mutoids so that he can unofficially continue the search for Blake.
