A10 BREAKDOWN
Gan's brain implant begins to malfunction causing him to become aggressive,
assaulting the crew and the Liberator itself. Eventually, he is overpowered
by the others, who try to determine how and where they can obtain the surgery
needed to repair the limiter. After much discussion, Avon reluctantly,
discloses the location of a neutral space station, XK72, a place that Avon
was holding in reserve in case he needed a bolthole.
Knowing that the doctors on XK72 would be unlikely
to help a ship of criminals, Blake pretends that they are an experimental
Federation ship out on a trial run. The neurosurgeon, Kayn, figures out the
deceit and since his sympathies are toward law and order, he alerts the
Federation to Blakes presence and pursuits ships are sent. With only 30 mins
until contact, Kayn begins the surgery, warning that Gan will die if they attempt
to move out of range. The surgery is a sucess and with minutes to spare, Kayn is
teleported back to XK72 and the Liberator turns to run.
An argument takes place on XK72 concerning the Kayn's notification of
the Federation, the neutrality of the station has been compromised. During the
dispute, Kayn strangles the station administrator. He then becomes so distraught
by the act that he sits helplessly by as a bolt deflected off the Liberator destroys
XK72.
A11 BOUNTY

fixing the election, to ensure the defeat of President Sarkoff. Sarkoff
has been taken to an unnamed planet and place under loose house arrest,
while the Federation tighens its grip on Lindor. To prevent Lindor from
completely falling into Federation hands, Blake and Cally teleport down
to convince Sarkoff to travel back to Lindor and unite his people before
the Federation can send in a "peace keeping" force. While Blake and Cally
are trying to convince Sarkoff, the Liberator picks up a distress call
and goes after the ship that is transmitting it.

of 20th cenury Earth artifacts. He has little desire to help the people
who have rejected him. However, Tyce, Sarkoffs' daughter, is bored with
the inactivity and helps Blake and Cally in their plan to reinspire him.
Meanwhile, on the Liberator, Gan teleports across
to the disabled ship, only to find out that it was a trap set by the Amagons,
a group of space pirates, who want to capture the Liberator and sell it
to the Federation at a hugh profit. The Amagons capture the crew and when
Blake, Cally, Tyce and Sarkoff return, they take them as well. At first,
it appears that Jenna has made a deal with Tarvin the Amagon leader, whom
she had known from her smuggling days. But she double-crosses Tarvin and
knocks out two guards before Avon breaks out of the room in which the crew
is imprisioned. The Amagons are defeated. Sarkoff agrees to go back tao
Lindor and prevent the Federation takeover.
